Idego is Growing!

First, let me say thank you to all our customers and assure you that our Blacksburg coffee shop will remain open and we can't wait to see all of you. At the start of this year, we began making plans to open a second location which would include a larger roastery in a metropolitan area to support our growth. Our plan was to find a second location over the next year or so and seamlessly transition our production between locations. Then April happened, and those plans got set aside as we adapted to our new situation. We are so honored to have such a supportive customer base that has helped us through this transition.

On a personal note, our family has gone through some life events this summer and, as a result, we have the opportunity to move to San Diego. As difficult as this choice was to make, moving there also plants us firmly in an area that is perfect for our second location. In a matter of days, we went from a 1-2 year delay in our plans to pushing them into high gear. Our goal is now to have our roastery up and running by the end of the year in the San Diego area, and to supply our Blacksburg shop with coffee from that roastery.

This plan includes some 'growing pains' as we learn to manage multiple locations and rely more heavily on quality suppliers to fill in areas we aren't able to. This includes temporarily bringing in a guest roaster, and transitioning our baked goods to local bakeries. All we can ask for is patience and your continued support as we find our way through this new adventure.

This also means that our last day roasting and delivering will be 7/24, so be sure to get any orders in by 9am on that day.

Our shop here in Blacksburg will remain open with door-side service and contactless payments. We will re-asses often to find the right time for us to open up for seating.

I want to again thank our customers for their support over the past 6 years, without you this wouldn't be possible.

Thanks,
~Paul
